Structural Engineer in Training (EIT)

Selected individual will be trained in all facets of structural engineering, including design of steel, reinforced concrete, precast concrete, structural masonry, timber, aluminum and light-gage steel structures.  Opportunities within the job include new building design, prototype design, new bridge design, modifying existing structures, construction engineering, seismic evaluation, design of heavy foundations and shoring, fabrication shop drawings (reinforcing steel, precast, structural-steel connections), forensic review (for discovery and legal defense) and structural inspection. 

Successful candidates will possess the following skills and attributes: 

• Graduate of ABET school and hold a Bachelor of Science in Engineering 

• Possess EIT Certificate

• Proficient AutoCAD (v2006 or later) skill 

• Reasonably developed skill for writing professional English 

• Must have a genuine fascination of Structural Engineering! 

Proficient Strengths-of-Materials and Structural Analysis skills are recommended.  Sketch-up and Revit skills are valuable, but not required.  The successful candidate will be trained while producing projects, which will include creation of engineering design documents, monitoring of construction, and performing field inspections.



AutoCAD Drafting Technician

Selected individual will use AutoCAD software to create new drawings and incorporate mark-ups provided to revise existing drawings based on specifications and engineer instructions, using our in-house drafting & design standards.  Drafter will also be charged with maintaining our existing CAD library, as well as reviewing/revising existing standards and creating new standards as the company’s needs evolve.

Ideal candidates must be able to work independently with minimal supervision on concurrent projects or tasks, and will possess good organization, time management, teamwork and communication skills.  All applicants must possess demonstrable skills in the following:

·  Minimum three (3) years professional experience using AutoCAD v2006 or later.

·  Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.

·  Ability to read blueprints.

·  Sketch-up and Revit skills are valuable, but not required.
